Former students:
“I’ve studied with several jazz guitar teachers over the years, and Grant is one of the best. With Grant, your lessons are your own. Some weeks it’s playing standards, writing chord melody arrangements, tackling Coltrane changes or just talking about jazz greats. Grant is a really motivating teacher and he has helped me to improve my playing and understanding of jazz and the fretboard overall.”
-George (Lawyer)
“Grant is a talented teacher and player. He meets the student where they are and then takes them where they want to go.”
-Doug (Musician)
“As a student, he takes me out of my comfort zone, causing me to become a better, faster, more thoughtful player. His teaching style challenges my ears, hands, and imagination, and I’m a better guitarist for it.”
-Dave (Business Analyst)
“Grant made a big impact on my playing, and got me started to play in the jazz language. He improved my playing in a relatively short amount of time, and he seemed genuinely interested in my development as a musician.”
-Patrick (Student)
“Grant is a true professional. After taking a few lessons with you my daughter really enjoys playing the guitar. She looks forward to practicing and coming to class. Keep up the good work. She’s playing really well!”
